Biography

Emily earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oregon School of Law. While in law school, Emily served as managing editor of the Oregon Law Review and worked for a Seattle-based nonprofit creating financial literacy materials for high school students. Before law school, Emily attended Brigham Young University where she studied business.

Experience

Represented Santander in $650M Debt and Tax Equity Financings for rPlus Energies’ Blacks Creek Energy Center

Parsons Behle & Latimer served as local counsel to the lender and tax equity investor for the debt and tax equity financings on rPlus Energies 400 MWac/520 MWdc Blacks Creek Energy Center in Ada County, Idaho, which will supply electricity to Idaho’s power grid. The Parsons’ attorney team advised on real estate, permitting, and energy regulatory matters.

Parsons Represents Barrick in Acquisition of its Mercur Mines LLC by Revival Gold

Parsons represented Barrick Gold Exploration Inc. in a sale of the Mercur Mine to Revival Gold Inc. The project is anticipated to be Utah’s largest gold producer and contribute more than $4 billion to Utah’s economy creating an estimated 400 direct jobs during construction and 300 direct jobs over 10 years plus operation. Parsons’ corporate attorneys advised in all aspects of the transaction with Parsons’s corporate, real estate and environmental attorneys handling environmental due diligence, contracts and permitting.

Parsons Represents Spectrum Engineers as Lead Counsel in Tri-Party Merger Forming Lynk Engineers

Parsons Behle & Latimer advised Spectrum Engineers, a leading middle-market engineering firm headquartered in Salt Lake City, as the lead party in a tri-party business combination involving Envision Engineering and Colvin Engineering to form Lynk Engineers. The Parsons deal team was led by Adam Ott and Keyan Norman with assistance from Benjamin Lefler, Hunter Johnson, Spencer Medel, and Landon Tracy. Ross Keogh, Paul Smith, and Emily Hill also advised on the transaction.
